A great half day walking/ tasting tour around Orange. I enjoyed hearing the history of the town, and in particular, the Irish connection of the Dalton family. Nicole also directed me to a local exhibition on the Daltons, where I learnt more about them, including their ties by marriage to John Redmond, an important figure in Irish history in the early 1900s.The indigenous food and explanation was very enjoyable, and I left with some lemon myrtle jam and spices. And then got to finish with a substantial platter of local food and taste some wine. What is not to like! -

The Tasting Trail

Highly recommended

Nicole entertained us with her local knowledge during the historic walking tour. The indigenous cultural experience was entertaining and informative and the bush tucker was delicious. I would highly recommend Nicole from Country Food Trails in Orange.

The Tasting Trail

Didn’t want it to end

We had a great time with Nicole, she knows her subject, so interesting that you don’t want it to end. 3 hours passed so fast, we should have booked an entire day trip. Highly recommended.

The Village Trail

Will be back with friends

Thank you Nicole for such a wonderful day meandering through the village of Milthorpe. Our winery / food trail was very well organised and super friendly. Nicole’s knowledge of the area added a special touch along with great wines and local food. Would highly recommend.

Can not recommend Country Food Trails more highly

My partner and I don’t usually consider booking tours as they often fail to showcase the true spirit of a place and we prefer the flexibility of setting our own schedule. However, Nicole’s thoughtfully hand-picked experiences immediately appealed with its inclusion of smaller local businesses and off-the-beaten-track stops, and we were able to choose something that combined all the aspects we were drawn to the region to explore. Sharon our guide was so warm and thoughtful, and such a pleasure to chat to on the drives between stops and on the walking tour of Milthorpe. Far from a stuffy ride for tourists, the whole experience felt like catching up with old friends, personalised and intimate, curated with consideration and care. We left with huge smiles and armed with an insiders insight into Orange. Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon, we’re already looking forward to the next trip.

Super thrilled with the winery tour of Orange, hosted by Sharon. She was honestly a fantastic host – really accommodating, so charismatic and friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about Orange and it’s surrounds. Would highly recommend Sharon to anyone!

The itinerary suited our family perfectly

We had a great day with Nicole and Gerald. They picked us from our hotel, and we spend the day learning about the Wiradjuri people, their food, tradition and general indigenous history while driving around Orange stopping in significant landmarks. At the end of the day, Jerrold cooked for us a lovely indigenous lunch (crocodile and kangaroo in beautiful local herbs). The itinerary suited our 3 teenagers’ family perfectly, and the food was amazing. Jerrold also invited us to pick some herbs from the local community garden on the way home so now we have our own local herbs. Thanks Nicole and Gerald, we will definitely be back!
